The PMI Victorian History Library is the second oldest library in Victoria. It was founded in 1854 and was incorporated under its own act of Parliament in 1899. It is the only mechanics' institute in Victoria still governed by its own Act of Parliament. The Institute has a fascinating history. Come along and help the Glen Eira Historical Society celebrate the launch of “Along the Line: Caulfield to Oakleigh rail stories” – a collection of the ‘day to day’ stories of train travel.
