Known limitations
PMI Victorian History Library Inc. is a small nonprofit history library with a website and a physical heritage collection. We are working to improve accessibility over time, but some parts of our digital and collection material may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations may include:
Website
- Older PDF documents, such as past newsletters, guides, and finding aids, that were created before current accessible-document practices were in place.
- Video content, including content on the library’s YouTube channel, that may not have captions available for every video.
- Third-party embedded content, linked websites, catalogue software, and external history or genealogy databases, such as Trove or Ancestry, that are not controlled by PMI Victorian History Library Inc. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of these third-party services or websites.
Digitised collection content
- Scanned archival documents, historical photographs, and older collection items in our online catalogue that may be images without OCR text or suitable alternative text, which can make them difficult or impossible to use with screen readers.
