Named: Name suggested by thomas Price from Scott’s poem Young Lochinvar which contained the name of a locality north-east of Gretna Green, Scotland. Formerly known as Warraquil until 1886, when Price suggested that there could be confusion with Warragul. The district was also known as Rupeal Swamp. (Blake)
