Collection

Our aim is to collect published resources about every locality in the state of Victoria, Australia, and every aspect of the history of the state of Victoria.

It is the only lending collection of its kind in Australia.

The collection includes histories of Victorian:
cities ; towns ; regions ; localities ; schools ; churches ; businesses ; hospitals ; clubs ; bands ; transport ; crime ; police ; politics ; military ; sport ; mining ; immigration ; aboriginal history ; community services ; biographies.
Australian art and literature also feature in the collection.

We have a growing range of indexes and other resources for Victorian genealogy as well as historical material in various formats.
