Thursday 14 March • 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Tomato Event Image

Author and tomato aficionado Penny Woodward guides you beyond the standard red supermarket tomato to a world where there are hundreds of varieties, flavours and colours.

Looking at the history of heirloom tomatoes in Australia and why it’s important to grow them and save their seeds, Penny will explore flavour profiles, what makes tomatoes red, yellow, orange and green while offering the chance to taste a variety of fantastically different tomatoes.

Become a convert to the church of the heirloom tomato.

Copies of Tomato: Know, Sow, Grow, Feast by Penny Woodward, Janice Sutton, Karen Sutherland will be available for purchase on the day. Cash and card are accepted.
