Malvern Historical Society Pop Up
Tuesday 14 August • 9:30 am - 12:30 pmFREE
Come along and visit the Malvern Historical Society at the PMI Victorian History Library. Members from the society will be available to answer questions or just have a chat. Grab yourself some free brochures, newsletters and children’s puzzles.
The Malvern Historical Society Inc, formed in 1973, advances the study of all aspects of the history relating to the area formerly known as the City of Malvern, now part of the City of Stonnington. Their motto is ‘Keeping Stonnington’s History Alive!’. They conduct walks and talks, circulate a free bi-monthly newsletter and collect local history. They actively support the work of the Stonnington History Centre and refer all their enquiries to the Centre – they don’t maintain a separate local history collection. The Stonnington History Collection includes photographs, building plans, maps, subdivision plans, and much more. There are already over 68,000 records on the catalogue!
This event is presented as part of the 2018 National Family History Month.
