Glen Eira Historical Society Pop Up

Visit the Glen Eira Historical Society at the PMI Victorian History Library to ask questions or have a general chat. You will be able to view a 1930s aerial map of Glen Eira and early Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works maps which can be viewed through Google Earth Pro – simply search an address and see what it looked like in 1931 and earlier.
The Glen Eira Historical Society (formed in 1972 as the Caulfield Historical Society) covers the suburbs of Caulfield, Caulfield North, Caulfield South, Caulfield East, Glen Huntly, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Bentleigh, Bentleigh East, McKinnon, Ormond, Gardenvale, Elsternwick plus St. Kilda East and Brighton East.
They collect, preserve and promote the history of the City of Glen Eira and its inhabitants.
This event is presented as part of the 2018 National Family History Month.
